NADL has collaborated with Melissa Laughon of Catch Your Limit Consulting to create the NADL Leadership Development Series. This series will cover a variety of topics over a five-week series, which will strengthen leader's confidence, and will also equip leaders with the tools they need to create a culture of engagement, where team members are confident with their skills and eager to contribute. Topics will include communication strategies, leadership styles, creativity tools for innovation, and methods for constructive conflict.

2026 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

  • Wednesday, April 15, 2026 @ 12:00pm – 2:00pm EST: Orientation & Teaming - In our first session, we will clarify program expectations and suggest ways to ensure ROI of the leadership series, share a framework for cohesive teaming that each session will build upon and set the stage for a supportive environment that will help us leverage the power of peer sharing.
  • Wednesday, April 22, 2026 @ 12:00pm – 2:00pm EST: Authentic Leadership & Communication - Learn more about your personal leadership style and strengths and how to balance your style with those of your colleagues, being more effective more of the time, in alignment with your team and leading from a place of authenticity.
  • Wednesday, April 29, 2026 @ 12:00pm – 2:00pm EST: Creativity & Collaboration - Research has shown that accelerating change and growing complexity have altered what it takes to achieve sustained success. Creating inclusive environments for creativity and collaboration is critical. Learn tools and frameworks for collaboration and strategic alignment that you can take back to your team to save time, eliminate unproductive meetings, quit arguing, reduce frustration and create positive momentum.
  • Wednesday, May 6, 2026 @ 12:00pm – 2:00pm EST: Courage & Conflict - It takes guts to listen and lead from our hearts. Working through the hard stuff is critical to building strong relationships, cohesive teams and successful organizations. Reflect on your role in modeling and facilitating positive conflict, explore ways to navigate crucial conversations, identify the early warning signs and avoid breakdowns in communication, hone your listening skills and leverage constructive feedback to guide you in your leadership journey.
  • Wednesday, May 13, 2026 @ 12:00pm – 2:00pm EST: Taking the Lead - Our final session is designed to help you focus on applying the concepts and skills you’ve learned, the importance of self-discipline as it relates to your continuous development and a healthy dose of inspiration from leaders who lead with their hearts for you to take with you on your leadership journey.
