Healthy teeth – healthy future: Ivoclar Joy extends its aid program to the Philippines
In July 2025, Ivoclar Joy opened a new outpost in the Philippine province of Palawan. Ivoclar’s very own aid program can now also offer urgently needed dental treatment to children and young people in the Philippines. In just a few months, nearly 200 young people have already benefitted from Ivoclar Joy in the Philippines. The program focuses on helping young people achieve good oral health through preventive measures, thereby improving their future opportunities. The situation in the Philippines is particularly precarious: According to the local department of health, 87.4% of the population suffer from caries or its consequences. Low-income families in particular are forced to resort to inadequate dental hygiene methods such as rinsing the mouth with salt water or brushing the teeth with baking soda. The Ivoclar Joy program funds the work of dental professionals as well as the required material and training.

SafeLink Consulting Introduces HIPAA Review Service Tailored for Dental Laboratories
SafeLink Consulting, Inc., a nationally recognized compliance consulting firm, announced the launch of a new service: HIPAA Review for the Dental Laboratory. This offering enables dental labs to systematically assess and enhance their HIPAA compliance — an increasingly important dimension of risk management in the dental industry. Dental laboratories routinely handle protected health information (PHI) but may not always realize the full scope of obligations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Drawing on SafeLink’s long-standing expertise in OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance, the new review service is designed to help labs close gaps, strengthen documentation and processes, and align their operations with privacy and security best practices. |
